Custom AI training, built for library work.
Cohort programs, video series, workshops, and consulting engagements designed for public library systems, cooperatives, and state libraries. We meet library workers where they are — and help them meet AI on their own terms.
Where we've done this work
LibraryLink New Jersey
Multi-year partnership with the New Jersey library cooperative serving more than 2,500 libraries. AI Ambassadors cohort program (launched in 2023, reprising in 2026), plus nearly a dozen one-off professional development webinars on topics ranging from ChatGPT to AI policy.
Library of Michigan
Customized five-part video training series for the Library of Michigan's Niche Academy. Followed by ongoing AI capacity-building cohorts in 2025, including online workshops, office hours, a dedicated mailing list, and a half-day virtual hackathon capstone.
OCLC's WebJunction
Hybrid AI workshop course for WebJunction's online learning platform — pre-recorded videos, homework, in-person discussions, and an online discussion forum. Panelist for the AI & Public Libraries Town Hall in May 2025.
California Library Association — CALL Academy
Five-part video training series and discussion sessions on CALL Academy. Followed in 2026 by "AI for Humans: Library Workers Edition" — a six-month cohort-based training program with monthly themed sessions from February through July.
Built around your library, not a course catalog
Every engagement is custom. We've delivered work across four formats — and the right shape depends on your audience, your timeline, and your budget. Tell us what you're trying to do, and we'll figure out the right format together.
Cohort programs
Multi-month, capacity-building experiences for groups of library workers. Live online workshops, dedicated mailing lists, office hours, and a hands-on hackathon capstone. Built for library systems and cooperatives investing in long-term AI literacy.
Video training series
Customized video courses for your learning platform — Niche Academy, CALL Academy, or your own. Plain-language, library-context videos paired with optional discussion sessions and office hours.
Workshops and webinars
One-off or recurring training events on specific topics — AI fundamentals, ChatGPT, AI policy, prompt engineering, AI in archives, community engagement. Delivered live online or in person.
Keynotes and conference appearances
Talks, panels, and keynotes for library conferences and association meetings. Recent appearances at LibraryLinkNJ Tech Fest, the Pennsylvania Library Association Southeast Chapter, ByWater Solutions' AI conference, and Libraries 2.0.
